What do you really mean by being positive or positive thinking ?

What do you really mean by being positive? Is it really possible to be positive all the time? Many people think this is new age fad, this is just a theory or Gyan , this is impractical or unrealistic, and it is impossible…. so on. While interacting with these people I realized they have lot of misconceptions about ‘positive thinking’ or ‘being positive’. First of all ‘positive thinking’ or ‘being positive’ doesn’t mean that you will never feel down, confused, anxious, fearful, angry etc. It doesn’t mean that you will stay in ‘highly motivated positive vibes’ zone all the time, 365 day and 24/7. It doesn’t completely eradicate negative emotions from your system. It is not at all about suppressing, hiding, ignoring, rejecting or not acknowledging these feelings or thoughts. It doesn’t guarantee that you will never face challenges or problems in life. It is not about being just goody-goody and ideal virtuous person all the time. Negative emotions exist for certain reason, it ...

You are more than your Visiting Cards!

This has become my favorite topic of observation when I meet people. This is indeed a deep and multifaceted topic. One of the participants of my workshop Bhavana shared her experience how a young lady who was flaunting her dress, education as well as newly acquired corporate identity at wedding ceremony, stopped throwing attitude to her when she came to know Bhavana is a very senior Human Resource professional at renowned company. This incident made Bhavana contemplate on these questions why do I need this identity to be accepted and respected by people? Is this my only identity? Do my job or role defines me?  Am I not much more than my job? And what if tomorrow I choose to leave the company or job how will society perceive me? How true this is! Every time we are asked to introduce ourselves, we usually say our name and what we do i.e. our profession. Our society has unsaid fixed parameters of evaluating success of any person – education, job, company name, post, ...

Ask right questions to get right answer !

Ask and it shall be given is the fundamental law of this Universe, but point is are we really asking ? Are we really asking in correct way ? If you are driving to a new place for the first time. How do you ensure you reach your destination?. First of all you will ensure you have correct address with you. Then either you can put Google maps on or just follow sign boards on the road.  Inspite of following it what if you get lost ? Ofcourse then you will ask people passing by. If one person doesn't guide you properly you will ask another person and so on. You will keep asking and trying untill you reach your destination. In this situation will you ever choose to play victim role by stopping at one place and say "Why God, why me, why this happens with me only ?" . Ofcourse NO . You will keep moving ahead, you may take few wrong turns, you may reach your destination late but you will always choose to reach there no matter what. In this situation will you eve...

Patience - How you act while waiting !

Patience ! mere pronunciation of this word makes us feel powerless, switching on victim mode. This is the toughest life lesson we all find difficult to master. We all are waiting for something to happen and we hate to wait especially in this era of 4 G internet, where  download time exceeding 3 seconds is considered as delay ! Situation that demands us to be patient is a challenge. However no challenge is presented by destiny without definite purpose. These trials and tests of life helps us to grow spiritually and personally pushing our soul on the path of enlightenment and wisdom. Hence the key to success lies in how we endure hard times. So, How to exhibit patience ? Is it only about how long we wait ? Answer is not really . I feel It is also about what we do while ' waiting ' as well as having right mindset. It is about utilising waiting period creatively and constructively It is about putting best possible efforts yet surrender to divine wisdom for the outco...

Why always I have to suffer whereas others get things very easily....?

In life when things are not working out the way we want, when series or obstacles landing on our path makes us completely drained out and finding reason behind delays become beyond our normal human capacity to comprehend...we cry out and say..."why ME God? Why always I have to suffer whereas others get things very easily....?" Many a times we go a step further and say "no one has suffered as much as me"..."no one's destiny can be bad as me"... Feeling depressed, frustrated and comparing our life with others is very very natural. Venting out our anger, blaming God or destiny is also very natural during testing times.... But too much of self pity can be extremely dangerous...this may result into severe depression, we may lose interest in life, self confidence may get deteriorated, we may develop extreme hatred towards others...we may lose friends...etc. Success lies in how quickly we come out of these self destructive feelings. Simply reminding ours...

Success and sacrifices - attitude towards Indian women

When unmarried women are observed having fun and achieving success, in opinion of other married women...it is because they do not have responsibilities and in laws to deal with...they are free birds ! "Had I not been married even I would have done that ! She will realize how life is tough once she gets married" When married women enjoys her freedom and achieve success in her field, then in the opinion of married women with kids its all because she still doesn't have kids...she is still a free bird...! "Had I been in this situation even I would have done that" And when women with kids achieves success and do something which no one has done earlier ... She gets to hear comments like "its all because of supportive in laws and husband and obedient kids".... Why can't most women appreciate each other with full heart ??? Why they always compare their lives with others and feel envious...??? Every woman has her own unique path...unique set of challen...

How to implement 'law of attraction'

“Miracles starts happening when you give as much energy to your dreams as you to do your fears”… Law of attraction holds true for both positive and negative state of mind.  It is up to us what we chose to attract in our life. If we keep thinking about achieving our dreams and goals then we will experience actual manifestation, if we keep thinking about what we lack, how and why we can’t achieve our dreams and goals then we will experience failures. Now let’s see how to give positive energies to our dreams, goals, and desires. How to make law of attraction work in out favour. I feel there are broadly 4 methods, let’s discuss each method in detail. You may follow all or any one of them depending upon nature of your dream or goal. 1.       Visualization 2.       Vision board 3.       Affirmations 4.       Positive Thinking and reminding yourself 1. ...

Manifesting your dreams using Law of Attraction

Pls take minute to recollect incidences when you had said “hey it actually worked the way I wanted” “I got what I want”. Recollect all such experiences when your small or big wishes, desires came true. Does this happen all the time? You may say ‘No, not all the time but yes sometimes”…and what if I say “it can happen all the time…you have got power to make all your wishes, desires, dreams come true! You have power to manifest perfect career, good health, money, material wealth, good relationships etc etc”……feeling skeptical about it???...well let me explain, “Yes it is possible, you just need to know how to make the law of attraction work for you. ‘Like attract likes’, ‘what you sow you reap’, ‘Thoughts become things’, ‘You become what you think’ all these phrases talk about law of attraction. Law of attraction means we always attract what we want. When we set i...

Do you think our roads/stations/bus stops are not clean...????

Recently I came across this post on Facebook. Picture speaks thousands of words! Very true, important message conveyed in very simple manner….It reminds me of one incident…I was travelling in the local train, on the way to office…the lady sitting next to me was talking to her friend who was standing in front of her. Both these girls looked very decent, well qualified. They were discussing about India’s economy, their job profiles etc etc. Lady sitting next to me was praising foreign countries…strict laws and rules for citizens, discipline…etc etc. Her friend also continued to share her experiences. Then this lady sitting next to me pulled out banana from her bag…while eating she proudly shared how health conscious she is, how she manages to do workouts in busy routine, how she takes care of her diet etc…After eating banana, this lady without even giving a thought, threw chhilaka on railway track from window…I was shocked…I gave her weird look..i did not have guts to tell her th...

India’s Got Talent

This year’s India’s Got Talent show is really amazing…group of blind students performed amazing Mallakhamb…what a performance…superb…! They did with ease and confidence…perfect synchronization as if they were able to see each other...everything was just perfect…great team effort!. Another performance I liked was of one lady dancer who lost her leg in accident but still continued with her passion for dancing …and she danced with just one leg…amazing confidence…perfect steps…smiling face…great attitude ! I salute these people, they inspired me a lot…..Really there are actually no limitations on what we humans can do or achieve…limitations are in mind or thoughts not in physical world or in any situations or circumstances!
