Patience ! mere pronunciation of this word makes us feel powerless, switching on victim mode. This is the toughest life lesson we all find difficult to master.
We all are waiting for something to happen and we hate to wait especially in this era of 4 G internet, where download time exceeding 3 seconds is considered as delay !
Situation that demands us to be patient is a challenge. However no challenge is presented by destiny without definite purpose. These trials and tests of life helps us to grow spiritually and personally pushing our soul on the path of enlightenment and wisdom.
Hence the key to success lies in how we endure hard times.
So, How to exhibit patience ? Is it only about how long we wait ? Answer is not really. I feel It is also about what we do while 'waiting' as well as having right mindset.
It is about utilising waiting period creatively and constructively
It is about putting best possible efforts yet surrender to divine wisdom for the outcome
It is about taking responsibility of the situation and avoid blame game
It is about not letting frustration and fears take over
It is about not succumbing to the drama created by people around you
It is about choosing to stay happy and stay at peace
It is about seeking help and guidance from right resource
It is about trusting divine timing (God has perfect timing, never early or never late!) and not regretting or cribbing over past
It is about learning lessons out of the situation
It is about helping others who are sailing in the same boat
Last but not the least....if possible, finding the humor in the situation. :)
Take example of any situation testing patience....
Waiting in traffic jam or in long que; waiting for exam results or getting shortlisted at dream university or college; waiting to get dream job or promotion or start new business; waiting to get married; waiting to become parent; waiting for kids to be well behaved; waiting for recovery from disease; waiting for legal battle to settle; waiting to improve financial condition or recover from losses; waiting to sell or buy property....!!!

This approach bring miracles. It helps us to rise above problems, we stay unaffected by inner fears and negative thinking of people around us. Peaceful / calm mind and heart enables us to take better decisions. This in turn attracts miraculous divine intervention by higher energies making us realize all blessings in disguise !

Very well said Charuta .. I am going to use few statements from your article in my lectures ��. I would love to see your elaborate response to the situations that you have described. Example : What should you do while waiting for promotion is different than being patient for kids to behave properly.
ReplyDeleteThe next stage of being tired of patient is of course becoming impatient and taking a wrong decision. There is boundary where you reach. What do you do when you are on verge of becoming impatient.

DeleteEvery soul has different purpose and plan. N whatever happens with individual good or bad is always aligned with his or her long term good. In addition to this any challenge or delay either teaches u to master ur weaknesses or pushes u to adopt new methods or brings msg of divine timing...
DeleteJust Awareness of these universal law reduces power of any challenge or pain by 50%.
If employee is aware of these laws then he or she knows either better opportunity is waiting in future or it is the msg that he or she is not well equipped to take responsibilities and handle challenges of higher position.
This awareness helps that individual to take better decisions like focusing on work...not indulging with gossip mongers...enrolling for workshops to enhance skills or knowledge etc etc
Kids who create challenging situation for teachers or parents presents opportunity to for adults to master their ego and impatience.
Kids always grasp subconscious energies of parents or teachers. Law of manifestation says whatever we believe subconsciously we tend to manifest it. If we r feeling helpsless / powerless as teachers and parents we manifest it more through their behavior. Subconsciously if we r building any negative affirmations e.g. oh he never pays attention in the class....plays vital role in manifesting that behavior from kids.
Keys is to become aware of our own energy levels. Try to change it. Believe it. And then implement creative ways practically to alter behavior of kids.
I had tough time managing one of my swim student. I had to keep aside my ego...had to think about permanent solution than managing need of the hour...came up with creative ways to make him assume his responsibilities....oooffff...really tiring but that process taught me so many things n at the end I started admiring him n was astonished to realize his talent !
